Problem
“For every thousand hacking at the leaves of evil, there is one striking at the root.”
-Henry David Thoreau
Abuse distorts children’s perception of their self-worth. Human trafficking, poverty, broken families, and substance abuse are major issues we face today. Many charitable organizations address these substantial problems. However, mental and emotional health is not at the forefront of the fight to help these children regain their light. A lack of self-love leads to the continuation of these tragic cycles of abuse. When left to deal with the feelings of pain and shame alone, these children will never heal. Mental, emotional, and spiritual healing is not readily available to most children and families, especially in 3rd world countries.
